Some people have told me that the really hard part of being a writer is not the actual writing. Nor is it getting the right illustrations or figuring the layout of the book. Nope, all of these are considered the easiest part when figuring on this element.



For most people starting out on the track of publishing (whether it be self published or through a publishing house) by far the hardest part is actually getting the book, and you out there in the spotlight.

Promoting the book whether it is contacting the local media outlets, getting the books into libraries or actual book stores is the aspect that requires a whole lot of time and effort.

You will remember that late last year I did have some success with getting the book into a couple of independent book stores and even secured a book signing at one of them. Since then I have managed to get the book into two libraries and am waiting on many more responses from book store owners in and around Baltimore, MD as they decide if they want to stock my book.

However, all that aside the really exciting probing arm I have put out is to the NPR Radio Program, Fresh Air hosted by Terry Gross. I have sent her people a package which includes the book 'Beware Of The Teacher' along with a promotional package. Hopefully I will hear back from her people or maybe not, the show is a fully loaded one but if you want to win the lottery I think you stand a better chance after you have purchased a ticket, no?
