As you may remember a couple of weeks ago I had told you that I had been approached by the Unofficial Roald Dahl Fan Page through Facebook to provide some prizes for a competition they were running. They were very close to getting to the 5k fans mark and wanted to celebrate that magnificent fact.
Well I signed and sent them two copies of 'Beware Of The Teacher' and two copies of 'When I Grow Up' for them to give away as they saw fit.
The guys at the page were so dahl-ighted by the books that as a thanks to me they obliged and sent the following review.

"Jason Bardwell, inspired by Roald Dahl, self-published two poetic children's books: Beware of the Teacher and When I Grow Up.
The rhymes were superb and both books were original and creatively produced.
A children's section in the library would be incomplete without these two books. Both offer excellent morals and have good build up.
The illustrations are fantastic, while they appear simple I have read each book five or so times and each time I notice something different.
Beware of the Teacher tells the light-hearted story of a mysterious teacher. It's dark nature makes it clear Bardwell was inspired by Dahl.
When I Grow Up, on the other hand, is a look into one child's thoughts about his future. It is light-hearted and, at times, funny. It has a clever element where it asks readers to submit their own 'When I Grow Up' idea.
Both books, while different, were fantastic - and I would read them again in a heartbeat.
I hope Jason continues to produce magnificient children's books: and I look forward to reading longer books by him. He seems to have the creativity to come up with something unique and the motivation and skill to put it on paper.
Perhaps, in the future, a longer and non-poetic story will be released by the masterful Mr Bardwell. Only time can tell!
The [unofficial] Roald Dahl Fan Page gives Beware of the Teacher 5 stars (*****) for having an ingenious rhyme scheme and clever plot.
The [unofficial] Roald Dahl Fan Page gives When I Grow Up 5 stars (*****) for Jason's excellent illustrations and the way the book really encourages a child's imagination to thrive.
A fantastic book, I strongly recommend."
Very kind words both about the books and myself in there and I truly appreciate that. Please go ahead and like their page, you can find them at https://www.facebook.com/RoaldDahlFans?fref=ts.
