Well it has been a little while since I last spoke to you but now I have completed the first part of Section 2 of my 'Writing For Children' online course.
Again just like the first part of Section One, this is question and answer based. Again I had a certain section to read in the text book (already at the house) and then answer questions based on the text.
Again just like the first part of Section One, this is question and answer based. Again I had a certain section to read in the text book (already at the house) and then answer questions based on the text.
This section was more business oriented and focused on getting your foot in the door, understanding the jargon and making 'you' stand out. For example one question was;
When the Author of your reading material refers to "piercing the static", to what does the word "static" refer?
Relatively easy, right? Well I thought so also. Yet again however my supreme overconfidence caused me to miss three questions and therefore only getting an 85% mark.
Still it does mean that I now have an overall grade of 86% so that is good for me. I really just have to sometimes take a step back, relax and re read some questions. On to the next section.
Part Two of this one was also a question and answer section. This one looked to be pretty straightforward with the questions based on identifying book formats and the different types of Children's books in fiction and non fiction categories.
This one was much easier and probably the one I could have answered and passed without reading the required material. I decided after the previous Q&A section I would certainly not rely on my confidence and instead do the work AND CONCENTRATE!
100% for that test which bumps my overall back up to the 90's. Next up is a practical assignment so keep posted.
