"Beware Of The Teacher" Now in stores

New to the book stores this summer is the very different first book by first time author Jason Bardwell, "Beware of the Teacher". In this Children's Picture book I take a look at a rather weird and bizarre teacher, one who is bald, has a red glass eye and likes to eat Children!

A tongue in cheek look at fears of a new school and new teachers, it is Grimm modernized. The main character in this book is such a colorful extreme that the child can be safe in the knowledge that their teacher will not be anything like this.

When I was at school I remembers the questions he had about what happened to the teachers at the end of the school day. Up until I had seen one outside when in the shopping mall with my mother I just thought they were placed in the cupboard at the rear of the classroom with the crayons and endless piles of paper.
Here is an excerpt from the book:

If you're at school, While reading this book,
Stop for a minute,
Give your teacher a look.
Is he twitching badly? And scratching his head?
Are both his eyes the same color?
Or is one of them RED!

When I was growing up he could always be found in a book. His favorite author was Roald Dahl whose such classics as 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory', 'Matilda' and 'The Witches'. Jason has been writing picture books for Children for a few years now, although this is his first release. There are plans for more this year also with 'When I Grow Up' and 'Monsters In My Closet' both planned for release for later in the 2012.
More information can be found on the book by clicking this link, and also on the Author's Facebook page
