Fourth Of July. A poem

Known as the Fourth of July and Independence Day, July 4th has been a federal holiday in the United States since 1941. Families gather and fireworks are set off, baseball games watched and all with good food and drinks.

With Family and fireworks,

Picnics and parades.

That's how we celebrate,
Independence Day.
Separation from Britain,
Her King and it's laws,
Is the reason this day,
Americans pause.
Patriotic celebrations,
All red, white and blue!
Fireworks and bunting,
And an abundance of food.
Burgers and beer,
And little things on sticks.
For the paper that was signed,
In 1776.
Go forth and enjoy,
Give thanks and pray.
One nation under God,
Our Independence Day!
